01Scope and contact
These terms apply to the DuoCam app and this website. Please read them before use. Contact layseallone@hotmail.com with questions. If you do not agree, stop using the product; minors should have a guardian’s consent where required by law.
App Store downloads are also subject to the Apple Standard EULA, unless another valid license is expressly supplied with that download. These terms supplement how the product and website are used; they do not replace Apple’s distribution terms or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
02Features and device requirements
DuoCam provides photo and video capture, composition, local media management and system sharing. It requires iOS 17 or later. Simultaneous front and rear capture also requires a device that supports multi-camera capture; other devices use single-camera mode.
Photos use camera capture frames, with 1080P or 4K composite output options (some require Pro); they are not guaranteed to match full-resolution still photos from the system camera. Separate photos follow their respective preview crops. Dual Format creates portrait and landscape crops of the same main-camera image and is distinct from combining front and rear cameras. Availability, performance and image quality depend on hardware, software, permissions, storage and conditions. Website demo imagery illustrates composition and does not guarantee results on a particular device.
03Responsible use and recording
Use the camera and microphone lawfully. Respect privacy, likeness rights, intellectual property and applicable consent requirements for recording. Do not use the app for unlawful surveillance, harassment, infringement or other illegal activity, or disrupt the website or bypass its security.
You are responsible for choosing what to capture and share, obtaining necessary permissions and recording safely. Do not operate the camera while driving or using dangerous equipment. Keep backups of important media rather than relying on the app as your only copy.
04Your content and the software
You retain the rights you hold in your captures. Using DuoCam does not transfer your photos or videos to us or grant us a license to use them in advertising, publish them or train models with them.
The app’s code, website design and brand assets belong to us or their respective owners, with licensing governed by the applicable app license. Do not copy, resell or impersonate those materials except where permitted by law or authorized by the rights holder.
05Privacy, permissions and other services
See our Privacy Policy for information and permission handling. Declining or withdrawing a permission can make the associated feature unavailable.
Photos, iCloud and device backups, the App Store and your chosen sharing destinations are operated by third parties under their own terms. We do not control them. Deleting an in-app capture does not automatically delete copies in Photos, backups or sharing destinations.
06Pricing and purchases
DuoCam offers optional Pro in-app purchases. Available plans, features, prices, currency, duration and trial eligibility are shown in the app and Apple purchase confirmation. This website takes no payments. Apple handles payment; RevenueCat validates and restores purchases and manages access.
Auto-renewable subscriptions renew for the period shown at purchase unless canceled before renewal. If a free trial is offered, the displayed price applies after it ends unless canceled in advance; Apple advises canceling at least 24 hours before a trial ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your Apple account → Subscriptions. See Apple’s cancellation instructions.
If a one-time lifetime plan is offered, it does not renew and grants the Pro access described at purchase; it does not promise all future standalone products, third-party services or indefinite operating-system compatibility. Restore eligible purchases in the app with the Apple account used to buy them. Refunds follow Apple’s process and applicable law; visit Apple’s refund and problem reporting service. Updating these terms alone does not create a charge.
07Changes and stopping use
We may update features, fix issues or adjust compatibility, and explain significant changes where appropriate. We do not promise identical functionality across all devices or future operating systems.
You can stop using the app at any time, withdraw permissions in device settings or delete it. There is no app account to close. Export captures you want to keep before deletion. This section does not exclude any service, notice, remedy or consumer protection required by law.
08Responsibility and statutory rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided with its available features and availability; we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or suitability for every particular purpose. Check your device, permissions, storage and recording status before important captures.
Only where the law permits, we are not responsible for losses caused by third-party services outside our reasonable control, device failures, misuse or missing backups. These terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable statutory quality guarantees, consumer remedies, or liability for fraud, intentional conduct or negligence for which the law does not allow exclusion.
09Applicable law, updates and questions
Applicable law governs these terms. They do not remove mandatory consumer protections in your usual place of residence or require you to give up legally available courts or dispute-resolution options. You may contact layseallone@hotmail.com to seek an informal resolution, but doing so is not a condition of exercising statutory rights.
We will show updates on this page and give notice of significant changes or seek agreement when legally required. The English and Chinese versions are intended to be consistent; differences in interpretation must not reduce mandatory protections. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law.
